Html and Me - The amazing story!

2014:

I started building a website for my friend Gregor Marcks  who is a photographer. At that point I had no clue how to built something like a website. But I also was very interested.

So I attempted to do it with a Content Management System called Wordpress.

It was quite easy to learn as I was really curious, but also it showed me some borders like not being able to change the frame of the side.

2015:

After a very successful grow up of a Facebook page from a Edeka market, where I used to work, I wanted them to have a Website as well. But from my first experience I knew that I didn't want to do it with a CMS again. So I had to teach myself how to use html and css to build a website on my own.

I spent nearly every afternoon after school with building, trying and learning it. Yes maybe the Homework suffered from that..

I loved it, you write a code, try and try and try..
.. and then the success. It's an awesome feeling to see the result of all this work.

So the Website began to look better and better. Here the first try.

After a few checks with google analytics I noticed that most of my visitors used mobile phones and the design, didn't look good at all on phones. So again, I had to teach myself how to change that.

Keyword: responsive design. How to let a website become responsive. I really liked that point, because I learned that it doesn't matter how good you are with something, you will never stop learning.

So the website became responsible as well. Here the actual version of it, which is now the official website of the Edeka market in Wiesmoor, my hometown.

In August 2015 I went to England to improve my English Skills and earn some abroad experience and stayed for nearly a year. It was a really good thing to do and I can recommend such things to everyone who finished the school and wants to see something of the world.

Also in England I never really stopped working on the Edeka page.In the end of 2015 I started rebuilding marcks.net because we decided to improve some technical details and I didn't want to do it with a CMS.

2016:

My family has got a freelance building company and we decided to create a website for them. The first big challenge was to create a logo, since I've never designed one before.

I really enjoyed it and the main design is already finished, but unfortunately we didn't finished the project yet.

In the end of 2015 I met someone in England who wanted to grow an own business and he asked me, if I wanted to build a website for him. And obviously I said yes and in April we started doing it.

He also asked me to include a button to my own website into is website, but I didn't had one. So I started thinking of it and here is the result.

Soon, I'll be back in Germany and I will start an apprentice chip in IT. And I will also try to keep webdevelopment running.
